Ed Stoermer
Western Region Sales Lead Combined Heat and Power Systems
Ed graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Business Administration. He later added an Executive Master of Business Administration from Xavier University.
Ed’s primary focus is to assist owners in the evaluation, supply, and execution of combined heat and power and cogeneration systems. By improving the overall plant efficiency through onsite power and steam generation, we help clients simultaneously become highly competitive and an industry leader in sustainability when renewable fuels like hydrogen and renewable natural gas are used.
Current projects include refinery power and steam systems, standby power for data centers, specialty fuels, large central steam boilers, and complete steam plant upgrades for pharma, healthcare, and various institutional facilities.
Ed currently lives in Northwest Montana, but spends a lot of time in the Midwest to work on power, steam, and special projects. He supports Lathrop Trotter and Koch Applied Solutions with consulting and training for internal staff, clients, providing expertise in applying gas and steam turbines, boilers, burners, and the balance of plant systems. Ed has been involved in over 400 MWe of CHP projects since he joined the team in 2012.
Ed enjoys backcountry big game hunting, fly fishing secret Montana trout streams, and taking wilderness adventures both on foot and horseback with family and friends.
